Donations to the Academy Preparatory School Fund directly support cadet candidates preparing to enter the Academy. Prep School programs that benefit from private support include:
Early Path to Wings Program
This program allows cadet candidates to obtain their private pilot certificate through the Academy’s Aero Club. It also includes orientation and training flights that encourage candidates to become familiar with flying operations at the USAFA airfield.
Preparatory School Graduation Commencement
Graduation commencement includes a parade, an awards event, the graduation ceremony, and a reception for more than 200 graduates and nearly 1,000 guests.
USAFA Preparatory School Non-Uniformed Sports-Branded Gear
The Preparatory School athletics program provides cadet candidates with leadership experience in challenging environments. Donors help the Prep School update uniforms and equipment, secure training facilities and coaching staff, and organize competitions to develop gifted athletes. The experiences gained through athletics motivate cadet candidates to pursue a lifetime of mental and physical fitness.
