Providing funding for a first-class, transformative experience, the Fund for Athletics Excellence serves 1,000 cadets competing across 27 intercollegiate sports. 25% of cadets play a D1 sport and 75% of cadets play any sport – collegiate or club. The impact of athletics on USAFA is immeasurable. Sports provide vital training in leadership, teamwork, character, strength, and grit. Funds go towards travel costs, nutrition and training tables, team and locker room upgrades, strength and conditioning programs, recruiting, heritage projects for sports, and advanced training equipment among other specific upgrades for each sport. Athletics are one of the many areas of pride and success at USAFA. Our athletes are held to the highest standards of excellence and are committed to their teams throughout their collegiate journey.
