In honor of our 30th reunion, our Class of 1994 will be raising contributions toward Hotel Polaris.
Hotel Polaris, as part of the True North Commons project, is transforming the United States Air Force Academy's North Gate and creating an unparalleled visitor experience. This project is not just about constructing a hotel and conference center; it's about embodying the Academy's enduring mission. As the nation's only facility of this caliber, support to the hotel is crucial in forging a unique connection between the Academy and Colorado Springs, enhancing the spirit and pride of our community and establishing a lasting bond with each visitor.
In acknowledgment of these gifts, our Class of '94 will be appropriately recognized in Hotel Polaris for our generous support. Your support will help our Class, the AOG and Foundation, and the Academy further the mission of our alma mater and future leaders.
The Foundation has an overall goal of raising $20 million toward the Hotel Polaris project, which will result in $90 million-plus in benefits through a reduction in the principal and interest and the creation of construction contingency funds. Through philanthropic investment, the transfer of hotel ownership to the AOG and Foundation will be significantly accelerated, at which time revenue from the hotel will be used to support a multitude of USAFA cadet programs, including international immersion, post-graduate scholarships, clubs, undergraduate research and distinguished speakers, among others, as well as career services, next-of-kin support, class reunions and more for USAFA graduates.
Securing the future of the hotel through its transfer to the Association of Graduates and the Air Force Academy Foundation is a critical aspect of your contribution. It guarantees not only immediate advantages for the cadet community but also establishes the hotel as a long-term asset dedicated to upholding the The Air Force Academy Foundation's mission to support the Academy, serve our graduates, and preserve the heritage of the institution. Through your support, you become a key part of this enduring legacy, one that honors the past while empowering the next generation of leaders.
Together, let's build more than a structure; let's build a future.
