Nordic Skiing Competitive Team

The Nordic Ski Team trains, competes, and races at eight club conference races and the U.S. Collegiate Club Nationals over the course of its season. These races vary in length from one-kilometer sprint relays to a half marathon. The team includes members of all ability and experience levels, which means each year, they teach the basics of skiing and provide all the necessary equipment for new team members to learn and race. The team also travels for the first two weekends of the spring semester to get practice on snow before conference races begin.

Donor funds will help cover expenses beyond the team's budget, such as conference and race registration, team gear, wax for practice and races and equipment maintenance. Gifts also help send qualifying individuals to compete at nationals, which involves flights, rental cars, lodging, race and USCSA registration, and other related costs.
