The Falcon Foundation empowers exceptional young men and women on their journey to the U.S. Air Force Academy by providing scholarships to attend one of four premier military preparatory schools.
Since 1958, the Foundation has offered a proven alternative pathway for aspiring cadets who show strong potential but need additional academic, physical or leadership preparation. These Falcon Scholars spend a year honing their skills before earning their appointment to the Academy, often emerging as some of its top-performing cadets.
As the cost of education has risen, so, too, has the investment required to support each scholar. In 1980, the average scholarship was $1,000. Today, the amount has grown to approximately $9,500 - reflecting a 950% increase. These scholarships help cover tuition, room and board.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, more than 4,200 scholars have been supported through this program. With a 97% appointment rate and the highest graduation rate of any USAFA cohort, Falcon Scholars are a testament to what’s possible through donor support.
