1Day1USAFA Class Giving Challenge
Participate in the 1Day1USAFA class giving challenge by making a gift to support any fund of your choice. Two winners will be selected: the class with the highest percentage of graduates making a gift and the class between 2004 and 2024 with the highest percentage of graduates giving. Each winning class will receive $1,000 to their agency fund, while the corresponding current cadet class of the winning class color will also receive $1,000 from the Foundation and AOG. You can designate your gift to any fund supported by the Air Force Academy Foundation, including the Air Force Academy Fund or ongoing class reunion projects. While one gift supports both challenges, making multiple gifts to different funds can maximize your impact.
Class of 1991 Challenge
Class of 1991: if you finish 1Day1USAFA with the highest participation rate among 1990s classes, Steve MacLeod will donate $1,100 in honor of your class. Every donation, no matter the amount, counts towards this goal.
Class of 1990 Match
Class of 1990: An anonymous classmate has stepped up to offer a matching gift opportunity: they will match $100 per donor, up to $1,990, for the first 19 classmates who contribute to 1Day1USAFA. Double the impact of your donation and help unlock this incredible matching gift opportunity.
Class of 1977 Match
Class of 1977: Rick Sowers '77 challenges all his classmates to support the fund of their choice. Rick will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000, with a gift to the Class of '77 45th Reunion (Madera Cyber Innovation Center) Fund. This doubles your contribution and propels our 45th reunion project to over $1.6 million raised. Let’s continue to show all classes why Pride Rides with the Class of 1977!
Class of 1970 Challenge
Class of 1970, your support is needed for 1Day1USAFA! Col. (Ret.) Michael Lambert ’70, M.D., challenges 50 classmates to make a gift during USAFA’s third annual day of giving. In return, he will donate $10,000 to the Commandant of Cadets Fund. If another 50 classmates participate, Bill Clohan ’70 will contribute $10,000 to the Class of ’70 Heritage Endowment. If an additional 50 classmates join the effort, bringing the Class of 1970 to 150+ participants, Paul Rossetti ’70 will contribute $15,000 to the Class of ’70 Heritage Endowment. Let's continue to be the Air Force Academy Foundation’s most engaged class.
How can I encourage others to participate?
Tell any and all fellow graduates you’ve made your gift. Raise awareness through email, social media, and in-person opportunities. Share Air Force photos on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and use #1Day1USAFA. Use your phone to record a quick video encouraging others to share your gift, post it on your own channels, and send it to us at socialmedia@usafa.org for us to share.
